Architechnics employs a diverse team of architects, engineers, and design professionals. We maintain a moderate size work load to permit each project undertaken receives its full share of attention from the firm’s partners and personnel. The firm’s ability to complete projects of any scale and various complexities is an asset of Architechnics and is the hallmark of the firm.

Architechnics provides every available level of professional planning and design services. Our approach is to maintain a multi-disciplined team that does not rely on outside consultants. This enables us to maintain very close control of communication and quality. Our ability to provide all-inclusive service proves invaluable to the client.

Every client will have a direct line of communication with a partner of the firm from start to finish. This partner is the conduit that coordinates the efforts of our team to ensure that each and every detail is communicated, initiated and completed.

Architechnics routinely provides construction procurement services along one of two paths. A “design-build” team approach where we collaborate with a construction manager is an increasingly common method of securing construction services. We have a level of experience with the design-build arrangement that have resulted in numerous successful projects in the past. The other path for delivering construction services is by using the traditional design-bid-build approach. This path awards a contract to a single general contractor with all the trades as sub-contractors. The design-bid-build approach is historically very successful in providing quality and economical construction services.

Here is how we do it:

Architechnics typically provides phases of services. At the close of each phase an analysis and review is performed with the owner, owner’s representatives, and other team members involved with the project. The common phases are:

  1. Programming, Conceptual Planning, Preliminary Design
  2. Schematic Design (to establish and prepare the principal parameters of the project)
  3. Design Development (to further define and refine the project)
  4. Construction Documents (to be provided to potential bidders/contractors)
  5. Assistance during the Bidding and/or Negotiation Phase
  6. Contract Administration throughout the project, including On-Site Construction Observation
  7. Equipment Procurement
  8. Project Closeout

These services are provided as defined in the Standard American Institute of Architect’s Handbook and include all normal structural, mechanical, and electrical design services.

We will participate in all meetings and interviews necessary to determine project requirements and goals, and obtain the owner’s and/or committee approvals at each phase of the design process.

Architechnics is eager to work with our clients to determine which services need be provided and how these services can be delivered in an effective manner, based on what the owner deems necessary. This can be discussed and agreed to upfront for the purpose of identifying the specific scope of work and related budgets.
