The new Special Care Unit at Good Samaritan Home honors former Administrator William Foose for his vision of this type of care for people with dementia. The new building was planned for 17 semi-private rooms and 4 private rooms. Unique to this facility are semi-private rooms that function like private rooms with an individual front porch concept including memory boxes and bay windows for each resident. This Cluster Plan Concept has four independent units that have wide walking paths, indoor and outdoor courtyards, and a sunroom in each unit.
