CAROLYN L. & ROBERT W. BROWN RESIDENCE HALL

Culver Stockton College is adding a new residence hall to their growing campus. With current enrollment at a record high and future enrollment projections continuing to increase, the campus was in need of additional housing. Positioned on the north side of campus on ‘The Hill’, the new $3 million facility will overlook the new Recreation and Wellness Center that opened Summer of 2016.

Architechnics worked alongside the project team at Culver to develop the facilities design in its entirety. The new residence hall includes 12 suites, totaling 48-beds, as well as 4 state-of-the-art classrooms. Each four-person suite will include a shared living space and kitchenette with two bedrooms and two private bathrooms.

The exterior is a classic and traditional design composed of red brick and natural stone to blend seamlessly with the surrounding campus architecture.

The interior design merges the traditional architecture with current product styles that appeal to college students. The goal was to create a welcoming living space while still utilizing durable low maintenance materials that will last over time. Culver blue is incorporated in the public spaces along with dimensional wall tile, creating a unique and energetic interior. The suites remain neutral to allow students to add their personal style to their space.
