Combined Bid "H" to Bleigh Construction based on that low bid.

Public Bids are being sought by the Board of Education of the Hannibal School District No. 60, who will receive sealed bids for the following described work as 2010-2012 District Wide Projects including the New Mark Twain Elementary School and the New Early Childhood Center, along with various projects at the High School/Middle School Campus in Hannibal, Missouri, in accord with the Contract Documents prepared for this work Project #4857 by Architechnics, Inc., 510 Maine Street, Quincy, IL.  Bids shall be received in multiple General Construction Base Bid Categories as follows:

BASE BID “A” – THE NEW MARK TWAIN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
W/ SIX  ALTERNATE BIDS

BASE BID “B” – THE NEW EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTER
W/ FOUR  ALTERNATE BIDS

BASE BID “C” –  SENIOR HIGH/MIDDLE SCHOOL CAMPUS PROJECTS
W/ FIVE ALTERNATE BIDS

BASE BID “H” –  COMBINED BID

Sealed bids for the work will be received from interested contractors no later than 2:00 P.M. prevailing time on Tuesday, December 21st, 2010 at the Hannibal Board of Education Office, 4650 McMasters Ave. Hannibal MO, at that time the Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.  Bids shall be submitted on a pre-printed Contractors Proposal Form, as prepared by the Architect and included herein.

A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at the Hannibal Board of Education Office at 3:30 P.M. on Tuesday, November 23st, 2010.  General discussion will occur prior to breakout and tour of the Buildings.

A 5% Bid Deposit will be required to accompany bids received. The successful bidder, to whom a contract is awarded, will be required to provide the Owner with a Performance and Labor/Material Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount.

Each contractor is required to pay not less than the general prevailing hourly wages for work of a similar character in the locality in which the work is performed, and not less than general prevailing rate of hourly wages for legal holidays and overtime work, as determined by the State of Missouri and Missouri Department of Labor and the U.S. Department of Labor Davis-Bacon Wage Determinations.

DIGITAL AND PAPER Plans and Specifications for bidding purposes are available on this site as well as at the offices of the architect, ARCHITECHNICS, INC. 510 Maine St., Quincy, IL 62301, 217-222-0554. A deposit of $300.00 (paper) will be required for use of the Plans and Specifications for bidding purposes. Any bidder submitting a bid must obtain a paper copy of Plans and Specifications, and be listed on the Plan Holders List to have their bid accepted.
