
Construction is underway on a new 36,000 square foot residence hall on the campus of Quincy University. The three-story building consists 34 suites with combinations of one to three bedrooms per suite housing a total of 92 students. There is also laundry facilities and a lounge on each floor. Schlipman Construction was awarded the $5.2 million dollar contract. An energy efficient variable refrigerant flow HVAC system will condition the building. This will allow for individual temerpature control in each suite and bedroom for optimal student comfort. The building is expected to be ready for occupancy in time for the start of the Fall 2011 semester.
